PEARL has dropped her gorgeous new EP ‘Where I Go’. The beautiful collection is now available to listen to on Spotify!
The British singer-songwriter and producer has opened her ethereal world, with this stunning EP surrounded by dreamy vocals and nostalgic synths. Growing up in the countryside, PEARL was surrounded by nature and greenery which has carried into her musical career.
The on-going theme of ‘Where I Go’ is acceptance. Her creative mind and authentic sound makes this an EP not to be missed. The collection begins with ‘Go!’ which is a great introduction. PEARL’s angelic vocals set the scene in a really beautiful way.
When discussing the new release, PEARL said:
“PEARL is my birthstone and holds a lot of symbolism for me. I finally feel grounded and sure of myself. Writing these songs was a really reflective process, I would look back at a memory, make sense of it, and plot a path through. It was really cathartic.”
‘Years’ has an upbeat vibe from the beginning and will have you hooked from the first note. The vocals on this one are breezy and clean, and will have your head bobbing along throughout. ‘Fish’ has a more concerning approach, and is a true reflection on PEARL’s ability to create imagery. Get yourself lost listening to this one!
‘Where I Go’ closes with ‘Words’, bringing harmonies and peacefulness together. Exploring different themes and stories throughout the 4 track collection, she has managed to cement her own sound and we can’t wait to hear more.
‘Where I Go’ was recorded and co-produced at Urchin Studios with Matt Ingram, and inspired by the likes of Maggie Rogers, BANKS and Sylvan Esso. Also inspired by lyrical imagery of Ben Howard, and ties the line between indie, alt and synth pop.
