Pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer – also known as 5SOS – have just announced that they will be releasing a live album “The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall”!
Last year, the band celebrated their ten year anniversary by performing at the iconic venue; The Royal Albert Hall in London. At the very beginnings of the band all those years ago, 5 Seconds of Summer moved to London in order to write their first album. Whilst they were here, Luke, Calum, Michael and Ashton decided to busk outside The Royal Albert Hall. They came full circle ten years later and managed to fill the place with adoring fans.
For those fans who were unable to make the show, can now hear the magic of their performance that happened that night in their new live album. The setlist included reimagined versions of their most well-loved songs from over the years, and were accompanied by a 12-piece string orchestra and a 12-member gospel choir.
When talking of the live album, drummer Ashton explains;
“’The Feeling of Falling Upwards’ is simply supposed to describe to you the feeling that we have experienced together, the feeling of taking a leap of faith on such a fickle thing like music. And sharing this experience together year after year, season after season of our lives.”
Not only that, but 5 Seconds of Summer have also announced that they will be heading out on a massive world tour starting later this year! They will be heading across the world including; South America, UK, Europe and North America with an appearance at the “When We Were Young” festival in Las Vegas.
