The Last of Us Drops Episode Finale!

The Last of Us has released it’s final episode of the series, and fans have mixed emotions about where the story has lead them to.

The apocalyptic drama follows the story of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), who form an unexpected connection in a dire world. We see the beginning of the end with Joel, who was there at the start of the pandemic, bringing up his daughter and close with his brother. His life flashes before his eyes in a matter of hours, as the fungus spread of Cordyceps sweeps America, and the rest of the world.

Flash forward and we are 20 years in the future, Joel is no longer with his brother, or daughter, and the world seems to have come to a complete stop. Viewers are also introduced to the Fireflies – a group of rebels who want to change the politics in this new setting and have more freedom.

We are soon introduced to Ellie, a fourteen year old girl who has never seen the universe other than the state it’s currently in. It’s all she’s ever known. It is learned that she could actually be the key to the cure after being bitten and still alive. It’s down to Joel to bring her to the facility that will allow her to be tested in order to save the world.

If you’re looking for a different paced apocalyptic drama, this is one for you. With some outstanding performances as well as glorious story-telling, you’ll find yourself wondering what you’d do in their shoes. The show is based on the popular game of the same name, released in 2013 originally on PlayStation 3.
