REVIEW – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Drops in Cinemas

Marvel fans all over the world have been ecstatic since Thursday with the new release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

With a mix of reviews, the film is already se to be one of the highest grossing films of 2022.

Doctor Strange finds a new companion in the form of America Chavez, a young girl who has the ability to travel through the multiverse. However, she can’t control it very well and has this happen by accident when she is really afraid.

A huge part of this story involves the Scarlet Witch, Wanda. During the first ever Marvel series that debuted early last year, ‘WandaVision’ saw her struggle with the loss of Vision. Creating her own perfect sitcom world, against the will of those around her, she was able to create children in the form of Billy and Tommy.

In the season finale of ‘WandaVision’, she was forced to say goodbye to the perfect life that she created. However, after dreaming of the children and studying magic, she came to realise that there is a universe out there where her boys are real and nothing will get in between her fight to find them.

This is truly a great watch for all of the family. Sam Raimi has done a superb job directing, with a more sinister eye for danger. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with make you laugh in one moment and on the edge of your seat in another. A movie that tackles grief, upset, friendship and protection.

If you need to be caught up before watching the new release and want to understand more about the plot line and how the multi verse works, you might want to tuck into ‘WandaVision’, ‘Loki’ and ‘What If?’ Beforehand.
