The Wanted Release ‘Gold Forever (For Tom)’ In Honour of Tom Parker

A few weeks ago, the world lost a talented soul. Tom Parker of The Wanted lost his battle to a brain tumour, yet he still lives on in all our hearts. The four remaining members of the band released a beautiful version of their hit “Gold Forever” in order to remember their brother, friend, and bandmate.

The new version of “Gold Forever” has been slowed down into a beautiful piano ballad, and their love for Tom can be heard within every lyric. Fans may find it hard to listen to, yet there is comfort embedded in the harmonies. Tom may no longer be with us, but he made such an impact on so many people that his memory will live on forever, and this song will help towards that. Family, friends, bandmates, and fans, can all listen to this track and feel connected in their grief, and that alone is a beautiful thing.

A video was posted alongside the track where you can witness Tom living his best life. The video shows him being his usual goofy self and you can tell that he bought a smile to everyone’s face no matter where he went.

Those who loved Tom said their goodbyes at a private service a couple of weeks. His wonderful wife Kelsey, allowed his fans to line the streets on the day of the service, and streamed the service on screens outside of the church so they can all remember him together. A gesture that his fans will never forget.

The members of The Wanted have decided that all proceeds made from “Gold Forever (For Tom)” will go straight to The Brain Tumour Charity. Be sure to stream the track now on all major streaming services.

“The memory of being here with you
Is one I’m gonna take my life through
‘Cause some days stay gold forever”
