Jack Johnson has finally returned with ‘One Step Ahead’. The track is available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!

From the very start the sound establishes the laid back tracks that we have grown to love from Jack, as well as a new sound. With passionate and heartfelt lyrics, the new song suits the taste of new and old listeners of Jack Johnson. It has nothing but good vibes!

As well as the new single, we can also expect a new album from the artist later this year, for the first time in 5 years. ‘Meet The Moonlight’ will be his eighth studio album, and is produced by Blake Mills. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and Sound City and East West, and Jacks’ studio in Hawaii ‘The Mango Tree’.

When discussing the track, Jack said:

“When Blake and I first got in touch we’d send each other playlists, and over time we realized we were drawn to music that sounds effortless despite all the effort put into making it. After a while we got a language together and I gained a trust in him that allowed me to let go, push outside my comfort zone, and get to a sound I really loved.”

Excitingly, on earth day this year Jack Johnson will be performing an intimate set at Kōkua Learning Farm, which is a location dedicated to establishing educational, agricultural and retail activities to promote local food in Hawaii.
