Addison Grace Shares ‘Makes Me Sick’

Addison Grace has shared their brand new single ‘Makes Me Sick’. It’s now available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!

The new release is the follow up track to Addisons’ vulnerable song ‘I Wanna Be A Boy’. Discovering that they prefer they/him pronouns, fans and listeners around the world were drawn to his honesty.

Addison has really brought power to those struggling with similar thoughts and backgrounds, which is an incredibly touching aspect to their song writing.

The music video that accompanies ‘Makes Me Sick’ is devastating in a powerful and discreet way. The imagery and gorgeous angles see’s Addison in a powerful light of acceptance and heartache. The two compliment each other wonderfully.

The video was directed by Sydney Ostrander in Detroit, Michigan.

When discussing the new track, Addison said:

“I had the idea to write Makes Me Sick because of a phone call with my best friend. She told me, “I feel so happy that I feel sick”. The phrase made me think about how sometimes, when we feel so happy and like everything is perfect–we also feel terrified that we’ll somehow sabotage it. So the entire song is about that back and forth feeling of being so happy in a relationship/situation that, at the same time, you’re also making yourself sick with worry of possibly messing it all up.”

In a gloriously captivating way, ‘Makes Me Sick’ is a relatable song lyrically and works with its carefully considered backing track. Allowing himself to be vulnerable, his followers and friends grow with the trust that he will always be himself.

Addison Grace will be supporting Cavetown in their up and coming tour with Tessa Violet in Spring of this year. Although many dates have already sold out, you can see the remaining venues with tickets still for sale here.
