Irish singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot has released a new single ‘Hello Gorgeous’, taken from his upcoming EP ‘Make Believe’.
Raised in Cork, Cian is now based in London, and gained a recording contract with both Darkroom/Interscope after a period of couch-surfing between songwriting stints in London and LA. Home for this singer, songwriter is wherever he happens to find his laptop and guitar. Growing up in a broken home is such a hard thing to do, but Cian found his relief in music. Often finding that music was a way to escape the trials of abuse, a turbulent family dynamic and more. It’s no surprise that he went on to focus on music in school, joining musicals, drama clubs and mastered different instruments all from such a young age.
Away from music, Ducrot has managed to build quite an impressive following on TikTok, amassing an incredible 650k-strong audience, all of whom find themselves drawn to, and enjoying the young stars’ irreverent and creative content.
Straight from his debut sold out headline show at Colours Hoxton, London and headline a date in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland for the first time. He has recently announced his brand new EP ‘Make Believe’ which is due to be released December 12th, via Darkroom/Interscope. This announcement is accompanied by the release of a new single ‘Hello Gorgeous’ one is Cian’s most personal songs yet. Inspired by real life experiences, this emotional, yet so powerful song beautifully demonstrates Cian’s incredible songwriting talents.
Cian talks about how ‘Hello Gorgeous’
“is a song I wrote for all the amazing women in my life who have sadly suffered at the hands of shitty men. It’s a song that I hope can help someone somewhere who is suffering or who has suffered and can help them get out of that place and show them they don’t need to stay and continue to be in pain.”
With live shows back under his belt, and his first EP on Darkroom/Interscope Records, Polydor UK on the way, Cian Ducrot continues to build towards his much anticipated breakout year.
