Incredible group Rak-Su have released smashing new dance anthem ‘Catching a Vibe’ with both Scrufizzer and Alika. It’s available to listen to on all major streaming platforms!
From the very beginning, you are taken away to the upbeat summer vibe that Rak-Su have built their name on. With a perfect combination of vocals, rap and backing track, ‘Catching a Vibe’ is certainly a track for any playlist. From a chilled, laid back feel, to a pre-drinks banger, it really does suit all moods.
The group grew up as school friends, and their relationship with each other has come on leaps and bounds. Originally from Watford, Raksu pay homage to their backgrounds (Barbados, Egypt, Cameroon, Cuba and Jamaica). With nothing but positive energy, the group are certainly showing justice to their roots through their music.
Rak-Su have become incredibly popular amongst fans of all ages since their time on X Factor. They currently have over 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Previous releases such as ‘Dimelo’ reached number 2 in the UK Singles Charts, as well as ‘I Want You To Freak’ hitting over 13,600,000 listens.
When discussing the track, Raksu said:
“From the moment we added garage drums to the Gypsy Woman sample, this song just felt good! Alika is an amazing writer and the chorus really made us all catch a vibe! As for Scrufizzer, we have been listening to him for years so getting to work together was amazing too. We basically love everything about this song!”
Scrufizzer has an incredible breadth of experience, working on remixes and collaborations for the likes of Ed Sheeran and Dizzee Rascal. The West London based artist career took off in 2011, and was signed to Ministry of Sound not long after.
Alika is a serious Jack of all Trades in the industry, and is known for her voice, engineering and song writing skills. Also from West London, she has worked with the likes of Stormzy, WSTRN, and Punctual.
