Jamie Webster has announced new 10 track album, due to be released in January 2022. He has also released new single ‘Going Out’!
Surrounded by a world of challenges and wickedness, Jamie is constantly inspired to create fantastic new music.
The inspirations behind the track comes from the people watching of neighbours and residents of Jamie’s hometown, Liverpool. Combining the stories of two characters named Paul and Annabella, the songwriter determines the frustration and emotion of the journey for young adults on the back on the pandemic. Jamie displays this powerful message on a vibrant, innovative way.
Along with the new single accompanies a music video. The real sense of Jamie’s performances come alive in the black and white ensemble, displaying backstage footage of a packed show at The City of Students in Liverpool. The show holds a special place in the heart of the performer, with a homecoming vibe and immersive audience, with the camera capitulating the atmosphere perfectly.
When discussing the upcoming album and single, Jamie said:
“People must pretend not to understand what it’s been like for young people, waiting to finally live what they are told are their best years only to be denied that life for so long. They’ve had so little support, their own pains weren’t addressed during lockdowns and nobody came out on their side or to change things, so ‘Going Out’ is about understanding why rules are broken. If people like this one and ‘Days Unknown’ then ‘Moments’ won’t disappoint them. It’s bigger, better and doesn’t compromise for a second to try and claim popularity over principles.”
‘Going Out’ was recorded at Rockfield Studios with producer Dave Eringa, in the early stages of the upcoming album back in January 2021. Assessing the world around him and the fallout of the pandemic, Jamie believes this could be the lockdown album of the music scene.
