Marvel fans are exhilarated as the highly anticipated trailer for the new Spider-Man film hits social media platforms across the globe.

The teaser begins with how Peter Parter reacts to the world knowing that me is Spider-Man, after Mysterious announces his true identity in the previous film ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. After the public and media having a negative reaction to this, Parker seeks guidance from Dr Strange and asks for help to make the world forget the revelation.

Of course, we can’t expect that this has gone to plan. With confirmed appearances from Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus) and Jamie Foxx (Electro), fans guess that the actions of Dr Strange lead us to the multiverse. The trailer has also hinted at previous villains, such as Green Goblin.

As you can imagine, this has lead to further rumours of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will return as their roles as Spider-Man. In a multiverse scenario it is entirely possible, and fans can truly not wait until the release date, 17th December.

The film will lead into ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’, due to be released in May 2022. There has been an incredible introduction to this type of world, with the events of WandaVision and Loki, both releases on Disney Plus earlier this year. The franchise have given a great visual to what a multiverse would look like and how this can happen, helping viewers understand the direction that Marvel is heading.

It really is an exciting time for Marvel fans as Phase 4 is in full force. With the introduction of new characters as well as existing favourites, the future certainly looks bright for existing fans and new viewers.
