Alt/pop band SHADED have recently dropped their brand-new single titled “My Nightmare.” This wonderful track is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!

“My Nightmare” is a rather gentle song to listen to. Perfect for when you want to have some chill time when you’re feeling particularly stressful. Leading man Matt East’s vocal are so soothing, it’s difficult not to feel completely captivated. The song maybe called “My Nightmare,” but the listening experience feels like a calming dream.

When talking about the single, Matt explains;

“My Nightmare is a play on what is real and what we see and tell ourselves in our minds. Addressing a toxic past relationship, the song portrays that feeling of insanity when under manipulation, and how you can begin to question everything about yourself in that situation. The track and theme take a spooky horror-film-like approach in its tonality, production and video.”

The song was also released alongside a haunting music video. The video brings the meaning behind the song to life in a rather creepy way. It works as a sort of storytelling film, you want to carry on watching just to see what happens. The video is now available to stream via YouTube below;

Last year, SHADED started releasing a fantastic collection of songs through lockdowns. “A Year Of You” is an ongoing project, with the end result being twenty magnificent songs exploring themes of heartbreak, self-discovery, and recovery. The trio have experimented with their sounds as you’ll hear a blend of a variety of different genres including RnB, pop, rock and funk. No matter what your taste, there is something in there for everyone. These collection of songs are still being released.
