Nick Isham has released a music video to support his track ‘When I Don’t Talk’. To support conflict in communication, this is one to watch.
From Los Angeles, California, Nick Isham is a previous football player turned singer-songwriter. Growing up he has had a wide range of inspirations from Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran, to Bill Withers and Van Morrison, to country stars such as Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton. Through the interesting combination, Nick has found his own sound and style when it comes to acoustic pop music.
The music video was put together by a brilliant team in Nashville. With Dylan Reeves directing and producing the film, the wonderful Samantha Mikula also starred as the lead actress. The masterpiece was crafted in only one day.
Nick and Dylan luckily shared the same vision, for trying to capture special moments of two people trying to communicate, but struggling to understand where the other person is coming from.
When discussing the track, Nick said:
“I had been sitting on this idea of “you only listen when I don’t talk” for a little while. I’ve had it happen in the past where I’ve been trying to talk to someone and what I’m saying doesn’t really register for them until I actually walk away/stop talking. So I brought it into a writing session that I had with my friend Joe Daccache. He seemed to get exactly what I was talking about. And after a long, in-depth talk about it, this song was born.”
With his soulful voice and personal storytelling, Nick pulls attention from listeners by the first note. He has had song featured in films and on television, one of which being ABC’s ‘American Crime’.
Nick has become successful with playing huge venues in Los Angeles such as The Viper Room, The Mint and The Troubadour. So, if you’re local, you don’t want to miss the chance to see this legend bring story telling to life!
