MEI Releases Stunning New Track ‘Happy Man’

London-based singer, MEI, has recently released her wonderful new single “Happy Man.” The track is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!

“Happy Man” showcases MEI’s beautiful and smooth vocals perfectly. It’s a simple yet stunning piece that will captivate you instantly. The track starts slow before slowly building, creating a hook that will keep you listening right till the very end. When talking about the single, MEI explains;

“This song is straight from the deepest part of my heart to whoever has reached a place of acceptance after losing someone. I’m really grateful to the incredibly talented women that helped me bring this song to life with their gifts. I hope it moves you.”

The single was also released alongside a beautiful music video that was filmed in Deptford creek. In the visual, you will see the songstress standing in the water, offering a metaphorical vision for the water’s fluidity and adaptability. She worked alongside director Tom Ringsby who helped create this vision. He explains;

“I first walked past Deptford creek on one of my daily walks during the first lockdown and it became a habitual visit. The city was empty so seeing the creek change between high and low tides was a useful reminder that the world’s still spinning. MEI sent me the demo for ‘Happy Man’ just as my own relationship was ending and I immediately wanted to show her the creek.”

The video is now available to watch via YouTube below;

“Happy Man” has been taken off the singers forthcoming EP “The Hard Way Around The Sun.” She has given us a glimpse into what is to come next and we couldn’t be more excited. It was both written and produced herslf, whilst also working alongside fellow female musicians to create an all-female team. The EP is now available to pre-save here.
