Songstress, L Devine, has recently dropped her brand-new single “Priorities.” The track is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!
“Priorities” is a wonderful track that perfectly showcases the singers voice superbly. It’s a single that will have you instantly hooked and is bound to be one of your favourites of the year. It was released ahead of her new EP “Near Life Experience: Part 1” – which is due to be released one the 30th of July! If you liked this song and it’s left you craving for more, fear not, you only have a few more days to wait before you are treated to new material.
When talking about the track, L Devine explains;
“I had the title ‘Priorities’ in mind for a while. I just wanted to get my frustrations in a relationship out, as I was so maddened that this person wasn’t putting me first, like I was with them. Over time, the song’s meaning has changed for me. Now it makes me think of the journey I’ve been on with myself since I wrote it. I’ve realised all the things I list in the song that this person is prioritising over me, are things I should be doing for myself. I was so fixated on putting my whole self-worth onto this person when really, I just needed to stop and look after myself.”
A simple yet elegant music video was also dropped alongside “Priorities.” Whilst the video was kept simple without any gimmicks, it still has the power to perfectly articulate the songs emotions. The video is now available to view via YouTube below;
The EP also features L Devine’s previous singles “Girls Like Sex,” “Naked Alone,” and “Don’t Say It.” All of which have been able to give us an insight into where the sound of the EP is going. During lockdown last year, she moved back home to Newcastle in order to put it together, whilst also releasing collaborations with Route 94 (“Sad Songs”) and Tinie Tempah & Torren Foot, (“More Life”). She was also one of the first artists to take on virtual shows with her URL Tour – which was a perfect way to connect with her audience on a deeper level. Not only that, be Season 2 of her podcast, “L Devine’s Growing Pains” is now available to listen to. Guests on the podcast include MNEK, Florence Given and Sam Fender.
It’s fair to say, the singer has been working hard. She has been extremely busy, but is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon! To keep up to date, be sure to follow L Devine on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
