Charlie Worsham Releases New EP ‘Sugarcane’

Charlie Worsham has released his highly anticipated EP, ‘Sugarcane’. You can listen to it on all major streaming platforms!

Way back in 2013, Charlie released his debut ‘Rubberband’. Instantly after the release, he became one of the most well known names and respectable artists in Nashville.

Already, fans are thrilled with tracks already released ahead of the EP. One being ‘Believe In Love’, a chilled out ballad explaining what Charlie believes when it comes to love. Along with the track is an accompanying music video, suiting the track well with it’s candle light vibe.

Another track that listeners have been able to is ‘Half Drunk’, released last month. Charlie’s vocals really stand out in this one, and has the perfect combinations of powerful ‘belt it out’ lyrics, as well as lines with a more quiet, subtle touch.

When discussing the track, Charlie said:

‘Half Drunk’ tells the story of the first time I told my wife I loved her. I’d just been fired by my publisher and my manager had quit management that week, but I was singing that day in one of my favorite rooms in all the world, the Station Inn. Powered by Yazoo Pale Ale, applause, and a sense that this girl I was crazy about might just be more special and more permanent than the whole music industry thing, I turned to Kristen, said those three magic words, and she said ‘I love you too.’ I hope this song inspires a lot of drunken making out and maybe a few last-time-saying-I-love-you-for-the-first-time moments.’

‘Sugarcane’ began as a daily writing exercise for Charlie, that expanded into a musical sharing of love, struggle, perseverance and joy. The EP was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Joy Jayce, who has also worked with stars such as Miranda Lambert, Eric Church and Little Big Town.
