Jack In Water Releases Emotional Video for ‘For You’

Jack In Water has released a brand new music video for single ‘For You’, showing the stress of relationship standards.

Jack In Water (the alias for the talented William Clapson) was brought up in Essex, England. Writing and making how own tracks for 10 years has brought the singer songwriter to now – the perfect time for a new release.

The chilled out vibe of the track is the perfect listen for all moods. Describing what we see in public media of what love is, the song acknowledges that the displays are unrealistic and unlikely in real life. This really is an incredible listen for those who set unrealistic expectations about themselves when it comes to relationships.

The video shows William having a one on one chat if different ages, race and gender. Throughout the scenes he tells them what films and TV suggest people will want to hear such as ‘I will change everything I am if you never leave’. With this attitude, he ends the video as he started. Alone. The video was shot in Sant Jordi, Mallorca, and directed by Churchiest Hill. You can watch it here:

When discussing the track, William said:

It explores the distorted ways that we are encouraged to love and enter into romantic relationships by music and film. I have always loved the drama of dance and Chuchie’s idea to bring dancers (choreographed by Mar López) to show the complexities of being vulnerable around new people made so much sense to me.

Last month Jack In Water announced how new album ‘You Don’t Feel Like Home’, due to be released on 27th August. Fans are thrilled with the announcement, and look forward to a journey of acceptance and reminiscence with the singer.

As the star is now signed with Nettwerk Records, the album is finally ready to be released after 10 years in the making. Deep diving into his childhood, William has written the new album based on his childhood. As well as the topics of falling in love, friendship and coming-of-age track, there are also more deep personal topics such as alcoholism, sexual abuse and the discovery of death.
