Joy Denalane has recently release her stunning new single titled “The Show.” The track is now available to stream on Spotify!
“The Show” is a wonderful soulful track that will have you instantly entranced. Joy has a way of using her breath-taking vocals to capture your attention. It’s the perfect song if you want to sit down and relax, grab a glass of wine, and listen to a soft tune that you can appreciate and have it be the only thing that you can put your focus on. The single has that classic sound that many will find alluring, but it also had a modern twist which makes it completely unique.
When talking about the track, Joy Denalane explains;
“The Show is about that moment when kids realize: After all, my parents are just as questionable and flawed as I am. When children become teenagers, their parents’ hero status is quite rightly questioned. I tell my children: Please forgive me, that I too am only a part of the show, a part of the system – and as such fallible. The song aims to soften the shock of that realization for the kids and help navigate them through the complexities of life.”
This single will be the first new track that will feature on Joy’s upcoming album “Let Yourself Be Loved – Deluxe Edition” – due to be released on the 3rd of September. The original was released back in the summer of 2020 and prove to be a big success. It currently has a massive 10 million streams and counting, sold over 26 thousand copies, and reached number 5 in the German charts. Now, the album is finally coming to the UK for it’s first original release in the form of an expanded deluxe edition – complete with an exclusive lavish 7″ box set with eight vinyls.
Joy Denalane has been on the music scene for quite some time – making her debut back in 2002. Her first album “Mamani” went gold, and her second album “Born & Raised” saw some very special guests including Lupe Fiasco, Raekwon, and Governor. It then went on to reach number 2 in the German charts. Since then, she has continued to release equally successful albums. No doubt that she will continue to bless us with her beautiful vocals in the years ahead.
