Johnny Ashby has released his fantastic new single ‘Wild’. The captivating new track is now available to listen to on Spotify!

Originally from London, the singer songwriter is now based in Los Angeles. As a child, he would listen to his fathers’ mixtapes and his love for music began. Johnny then learned to play guitar in his teenage years, and played in multiple bands after finishing college. Soon after he packed up his things to follow a career in music, moving to California and not looking back.

With an extremely haunting feel, ‘Wild’ is certainly different to previous work from Johnny. The ghostly vocals combined with the powerful backing track, is the most perfect and gentle combination you could imagine. If you’re wanting to be transported to a place of clarity, you’ll be adding this to your playlist in no time!

The lyrics are a subtle reminder that adventure is lurking around every corner. Whether this is an experience you share with someone else or a journey you take alone, it can be an exhilarating experience to let yourself take chances.

When discussing the track, Johnny said:

“I’ve always written these songs about running away like I’m trying to escape from something and in a sense SOS was a part of that. Wild is written in the aftermath. Every time I’ve travelled to a new place I’ve noticed how it’s changed me and pushed me to grow spiritually in some way.”

The track was written and completed-produced with Sebastian Fritze, Fredrick Erikkson and Bill Delia. The song itself was inspired by a range of artists, including Kodaline and Chet Faker.
