REVIEW – Tomi Saario Drops EP ‘I Think We Need To Talk’

Tomi Saario has recently dropped his incredible debut EP “I Think We Need To Talk.” The EP is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms!

“I Think We Need To Talk” has five brilliant tracks, all just as good as the last. The best way to do this justice is if we take you through it track by track as every song deserves the recognition.

  1. 1) Just A Little

“I Think We Need To Talk” starts off strong with Tomi’s debut single “Just A Little” – which was released ahead of the EP last year. This was the first track that gave us an insight into what the general sound of the EP was going to be. The singers wonderful vocals gives you chills all over your body with this track. The single was also accompanied by a creative lyric video which can view above. It will leave you craving for more – which is good because this is only the beginning.

2) Don’t Hurt Yourself

Up next is “Don’t Hurt Yourself.” A theme that you will hear throughout these songs is that Tomi Saario has a way of articulating situations that we have all been through perfectly. It’s what connects the listener to the lyrics. Even better, he does this as well as making the track extremely catchy – which means these highly relatable songs will be stuck in your head for a long while. “Don’t Hurt Yourself” is no exception. The beat of the bass can be felt deep in your chest. It’s impossible to keep still whilst listening.

3) Someone Like You

Tomi just keeps on giving with all of these anthems. “Someone Like You” is up next and here, you will truly witness just how limitless his vocals are. It’s absolutely pitch perfect. You can try to sing along, but the perfect high notes might get to you. Tomi just makes it look easy. It might be better to leave that to the professionals and just sit back and enjoy the song. Take in all those infectious beats. Appreciate the masterpiece for what it is. Sometimes, the best songs are the ones where you can listen to and completely absorb yourself into it. This is a feeling you get with every track, but “Someone Like You” seems to hit differently.

4) I Wanna Be Your James Dean

“I Wanna Be Your James Dean” was released not too long ago as a single. We actually had a chat with Tomi Saario talking about the track in more depth. You can go check that interview out if you want to find out more about the song, and about “I Think We Need To Talk” from his perspective. In short, “I Wanna Be Your James Dean” is a song like no other. We believe that this song perfectly showcases Tomi’s signature sound. It’s not what you would hear from anyone else, yet everyone who will listen is bound to fall in love with it.

5) I Think We Need To Talk

The EP ends with the title track “I Think We Need To Talk.” After all the catchy ear worms, The EP ends on a somewhat toned down note – which is great. It allows you to listen to all five tracks from start to finish, knowing that it will end on a more soft note. By finishing on a slower song, it allows the listener to truly take in what they have listened to. It means that the EP has done it’s job in keeping you captivated and that you have had the best listening experience. “I Think We Need To Talk” is the perfect end to the perfect EP.
