MUSIC REWIND: Justin Bieber – ‘My World 2.0’ vs. ‘Justice’

Justin Bieber has been a household name for many, many years. If you’ve not had Bieber Fever yourself, it’s likely that you know someone who has. Take a step back in time with us, as we compare his first and last albums!

‘My World 2.0’ was released all the way back in March 2010 with Island Records. Including already known singles such as ‘One Time’ and ‘Baby’, teenage girls across the world were thrilled to hear his new music all in one place.

‘Common Denominator’ has clever lyrics and will take you right back to Year 8 Maths. Justin describes how being single feels like being ‘one half of the equation’. It’s a slower track compared to other tracks on the album, and is heart breaking none-the-less.

‘Stuck In The Moment’ is a feeling a lot of you may have experienced before, of finding the right person at the wrong time. You can really hear in Justins’ voice how distraught this feeling could be, even at the ripe old age of 16. With the whole song relating back to famous couples, like Romeo and Juliet, and Sonny and Cher, this remains a favourite amongst fans.

‘Eenie Meenie’ is another popular tune from the album. A collaboration with Sean Kingston, it describes finding someone you think is right for you, who just can’t decide what they want. It’s a foot tapper from the start, and you’ll have it playing in your head for days!

‘Justice’ was released in March 2021. After only a short hiatus since the album ‘Changes’, fans were excited all the same and impressed that he was able to release sixteen amazing new tracks after such a small space of time.

‘Holy’ features Chance the Rapper, and is a song that will hit home for some. The lyrics reflect the message of how a person can help you back to your religious roots, and can help open your eyes to the beliefs of others. Overall, just a really nice tune to listen and sing along to.

‘Peaches’ features Daniel Caesar and Giveon, and has proven to be one of the most popular from the album. The tune has a summer vibe, and is the perfect road trip song with the windows down!

‘Anyone’ is another bop from the album. The sweet lyrics depict how important it is to live in the here and now, and to make sure your loved ones know they’re appreciated. With such an important message, you’ll have this one on repeat for a while.
