Last month saw the release of the catchy new bop from M.A.G.S titled “Choked Out.” The single is now available to stream on Spotify!
“Choked Out” is a highly, energetic track that will get you up on your feet. A slight warning to anyone who gives it a listen; be prepared to have it stuck in your head when you fall asleep at night. It’s inevitable. The dreamy pop song addresses the dichotomy of fear and love. A wonderfully colourful music video was dropped alongside the release – which is now available to watch via YouTube below;
When talking about the track, M.A.G.S explains;
“Sometimes the darkest part of the human experience is the constant battle between the truth and what our inner voice tells us. We realize our fears because it’s easier to accept the lies we feed ourselves, rather than standing up and trying to change our way of thinking.”
M.A.G.S – who’c real name is Elliot Douglas – is a singer based in LA. His music doesn’t fit into one particular genre. He has a style that seems to glide between genres – a skill that is hard to pull off, but one that he makes look easy. Back in 2015, he dropped his debut EP “Cellophane.” A full length LP was then released a short two years later. These releases allowed M.A.G.S to become a prominent indie/alt-rock artist.
“Choked Out” was released ahead of the singer’s new album “Say Things That Matter” – which is due to be out on the 13th of August. If “Choked Out” is anything to go by, then you better get your dancing shoes ready!
