Lacuna J has recently released her brand-new single ‘Fool (For Loving You)’. The track is now available to stream on Spotify!

Based in Manchester England, Lacuna J is a self-published and independent singer songwriter. Referring to herself as genre fluid, her music can not be placed into any certain category.

The songstress began her career by tackling her craft at the Tisch School of Arts, NYU. Uniquely describing so many thoughts and experiences, Lacuna J specialises in misfit love songs about emotion and sexuality, combining the love for electronic beats and indie inspired lyrics. With an incredible amount of passion and experience, her sound ranges from melancholic to bubble-gum pop.

The singer explains her songs as diary entries, showing the raw experience behind her tracks. With this, comes a wealth of knowledge and relatable lyrics.

She said about the track:

“I guess it’s a silent plea for them to figure it out on their own without my interfering but the frustration of also sitting back not wanting to be officious.”

Sticking to her authentic self and refusing to be put in a box, Lacuna J is a breath of fresh air among the music scene. ‘Fool (For Loving You)’ comes from the experience from the outside looking in. It can be easy to be blinded by love, and not see the truth in a person once those feelings have been reached. She has been able to put into words what this can look like from the outside, and has been able to explain through song this blind sited feeling.

The production of the track has an empowering sound with trumpet-esque synths. It has an R&B style beat that gives a pop kind of feel.
