Ali MacQueen has recently released his brand new single titled ‘Loretto’. The track is now avaiable to stream on Spotify!
Originally from a small market town in South Bedfordshire, Ali MacQueen now resides in East London. After making his name on the Luton music scene, this was cut short for the singer after he faced a long recovery from a severe brain operation. Taking this time to reflect, he spent his time working in a book shop and writing for Record Collector magazine. All while planning his own music ideas to form his own material.
‘Loretto’ holds the signature sound that fans have learned to love from Ali. Inspired by big dreams and a hopeful future, get ready to feel transported from the small town backstreets of the UK, to the American mid West.
When discussing the track, Ali MacQueen said:
“Loretto came about in one of those fleeting moments of life, walking down a backstreet just north of Oxford Street. At the end of this alleyway was some graffiti, which was tagged “Loretto”, and that was it. By the time I walked out from the backstreet and out back on to the street, I was humming the chorus… It’s properly amazing when melodies just appear out of nowhere like that, and totally captures the mysteries and magic of writing songs.”
‘Loretto’ has an incredibly strong mix of powerful vocals and a catchy backing track. Focusing on moving forward and remembering who you are, this is a wake up call you might feel like you’ve needed to hear. Impressively, the song is performed almost entirely by Ali – including writing the lyrics and vocals, guitar, drums, keyboard, Hammond organ and shakers.
