R&B songstress Priya Ragu has just dropped her catchy new single titled “Chicken Lemon Rice.” The track is now available to stream on Spotify!

Priya’s previous single “Good Love 2.0” received a high amount of praise when it was released last year. The unique track was raved about on Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music and BBC Asian Network for it’s insane energised beats, making it one of the most remarkable debut tracks that was released last year. Now, she returns with another banger. “Chicken Lemon Rice” explores the combination of addictive electro-beats, alongside that smooth Sri Lankan percussion.

When talking about the track, Priya Ragu says;

“‘Chicken Lemon Rice’ is a celebration of unity and diversity. It’s here to commemorate all the beautiful cultures of the world. The world is not black and white, it’s colourful. We can come together and still be ourselves whilst celebrating different heritages and learning from each other.”

Within her music, the singer wants to celebrate her culture and challenges stereotypical perception. She wants to give her listeners an insight to her culture and show how proud she is of that. In her lyrics, she focusses on a wide range of topics including spirituality and possibility, yearning and heartbreak.
