Singer-songwriter Michaela Slinger has recently released her magnificent new single titled “Make You Sad.” The track is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms!

“Make You Sad” is a gentle track that will put you in an entranced state. Michaela’s beautiful vocals paired with relatable, and touching lyrics will have you gripped from the very beginning. The track was co-written with ith JUNO award-winning Kevvy – who has worked with the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Fake Shark – and two-time Polaris Prize listed Louise Burns. This dream team have been able to capture a tale that we’ve all most likely gone through ourselves.

When talking about the meaning behind “Make You Sad,” Michaela Slinger explains that it’s;

“A blend of two stories, Louise and I were experiencing different relationship challenges that converged over poor communication, eternal misunderstanding, and overreaction.”

Relationships are perceived to be something magical. There are couples out there where you look at them and think; “they make it look easy.” In reality, this isn’t the case. Relationships are rollercoasters. That happy couple that you’re looking at may not be as perfect as they seem. The songstress wanted to write a song where somebody in that perfect relationship is actually feeling tormented inside.

“Make You Sad” will have you thinking and contemplating. It has at atmosphere surrounding it that will make you feel comforted. The story-telling is simply perfect and the lyrics so well-written, that it makes it hard to stop listening and snap yourself out of deep thought.
