Miss Kitty releases ‘Fly Me Home’ ahead of anticipated album in October. The track is now available on iTunes – where you can also pre-save the album.
‘Fly Me Home’ is all about the bittersweet feeling of returning home from an adventure. Whether it’s coming back from a long term trip or a short break away, it will give you the feeling of when normality hits after a time of excitement. A feeling a lot of you would have missed this summer!
The inspiration behind ‘Fly Me Home’ comes from a childhood of travelling and exploring the world. When Miss Kitty wasn’t in the southwest of England, you’d find her in France, Wales, or even sailing around the Irish sea! Miss Kitty has well and truly used her experience in this beautiful song, and it will give you goose bumps all over. Miss Kitty is a fierce believer in equality and is a great example of taking the world into your own hands.
With inspirations such as Nirvana, Garbage and Alanis Morissette, Miss Kitty was lucky enough to find her own sound as a teen. From busking to competitions, and touring to recording, she really has done it all. The passion for music is certainly heard in this track, and you’ll love it.
There’s a constant build up throughout ‘Fly Me Home’, with a wonderful melody and a great range of harmonies. As well as writing the lyrics herself, she was also lucky enough to record the whole ensemble from her own home, (apart from the drums!)
You don’t want to miss the release of the album, Kiss and Tell, coming out on 26th October. To keep yourself in the loop, follow Miss Kitty on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. It’s also available to pre order now!
