Nashville based band Front Country have recently dropped the visual for their stunning single “The Reckoning.” The single is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms, so be sure to check it out!

“The Reckoning” was written last year before the pandemic, when the “sickness” mentioned in the song was only a metaphor. It’s a track that works like a prayer, a hopeful belief that we have time to create a future that works for everybody. This was excited using stunning lyrics and vocals, harmonies, and a beautiful string arrangement.

When talking about the track, lead singer Melody says;

“The current political moment has been defined by conflict and polarization but also genuine shifts in collective consciousness and commitment to do better. I have personally done more work in the past few years than at any time in my life in unpacking my own complicity in systems of oppression, and I have seen the same work from others, which feels like the one good thing to come out of all of this.” 

Simple is sometimes the best way to get your message across. The music video for the track definitely follows this rule. We see the three members of Front Country in a basic, yet beautiful animation, singing their wonderous song. The video can be viewed above.

Despite having a genre in their name, the trio do not want to fit with one specific genre. This gives them room to explore music and not be restricted to just the one sound – which means that there is something for everyone in the songs that they release.
