Indie Newcomer Jimmy Herrity Releases ‘Try To Forget’

Brighton-based singer Jimmy Herrity has recently dropped his brand-new single “Try To Forget” – which is now available to stream on Spotify!

The track is bound to hit you where it hurts. Jimmy uses his songwriting skills as a diary to shed his feelings. You can hear the passion and emotion pour out of him as he sings. A true talent where you can use your own experiences to let others relate to the lyrics you’re writing. He’s truly inspried by film, lifestories and events.

“Try To Forget” is about somebody who does not know how to be alone inside their head. They’re completely lost in their own dark thoughts and see no way out. When discussing the single, Jimmy Herrity says;

“I see this song as someone stood in the middle of a party and looking around at how ridiculous we all are. Holding on to things we were told as children and living our lives like that. It’s really easy to take unimportant things too seriously in life, I think it just distracts us from the fact that we live in a doomed world. Chasing thrills, falling short and romancing pain to make it more bearable. There are demons behind the curtain and they are far too big to deal with, So it’s just easier to forget, or at least try to”.

It certainly is a rather interesting concept that you don’t hear on the music scene that often. Although Jimmy may be new to the world, we’re certain that this won’t be the last we see of him. Be sure to check out his Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more updates.
