Lani Renaldo Drops ‘Trainwreck’

LA artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Lani Renaldo has just released her highly relatable new track “Trainwreck.” You can now check it out over on Spotify!

“Trainwreck” is the perfect soundtrack if you’re entering adulthood. Being in your twenties can be a tough time for a lot of us. It’s where you truly find your place in the world and you’re dealing with stress, confusion, and worries that you never had to deal with before. This track discusses Lani Renaldo’s own stuggles with panic disorder and dealing with society’s pressure of valueing success over happiness.

The track is extremely important to the songstress as it “holds space in a genre that typically isn’t occupied by black artists.” She further explains;

“If black artists are being represented, we’re typically pushed into hip hop & R&B categories… not as much rock, indie, or alternative.”

Lani’s upcoming EP “NOHEARTBREAK2020” is sure something to get excited about. The collection of songs were entirely produced, written and performed by Lani herself, meaning that the tracks will be right from the heart and soul. When talking about the EP, she says;

“It’s for 20 somethings that are transitioning and going through a new phase in their life.”

The EP explores topics such as women and sexuality, and the importance of feeling good and confident in your own body. Through her honest lyrics, Lani’s goal is to show listeners the significants of self-acceptance – even if that may feel uncomfortable at times.

Lani Renaldo is an artist that needs to be in the music industry. The messages that she puts out into the world are so inspiring, it’s hard not to listen. Be sure to follow her on Twitter and Instagram for more updates.
