JIMKATA Release Video for New Single ‘Wait for You’

LA band Jimkata have drop the music video for their most recent single “Wait for You.’ The video can be viewed below;

“Wait for You” is all about that feeling of being in limbo. You’re waiting around and feeling restless and not knowing what to do about this emotion. That feeling of uncertainty. When talking about the track, singer Evan Friedell says;

“I didn’t realize at the time I wrote it how prescient and universal that feeling would become as we experience a global pandemic and a world in chaos.”

Now, who doesn’t love an animated music video? They’re always the most creative and becoming more of a trend this year whilst artists have been in lockdown. The video for “Wait for You” was created by Ben Clarkson. Ben was able to successfully bring the meaning behind the song to life. It’s a symbol of waiting for the world to get their act together – extremely fitting for the current situation we’re in.

Let’s talk a bit more about Jimkata as a band. They’re a three piece consisting of; Evan Friedell, Aaron Gorsch and Packy Lunn who have been friends since school. They create catchy, indie rock songs and nothing like you hear in todays music. After a two year hiatus following the release of six studio albums, Jimkata are back ready for the next chapter.

The video and track are simply wonderful. You’ll be having it on repeat for hours. You can now stream “Wait for You” on all major streaming platforms here. We can’t wait to hear what else the band have in store for us and we wouldn’t want you to miss anything. Be sure to follow Jimkata on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more updates.
