Darnel Parkinson Releases Debut Single ‘Post Tropical’

Darnel Parkinson has just dropped his debut single “Post Tropical.” It is now available to stream on Spotify!

During lockdown, a lot of us promised ourselves to learn or continue with an existing hobby. We’ve all seen countless amounts of banana bread on our socials and heard of friends who are learning a new language. But how was best to spend this time if you’re already an existing singer song-writer? You get your head down and finalise the perfect summer tune. That’s exactly what Darnel Parkinson has done.

The 24 year old from Kent has already had a whirlwind of experiences in the industry. Combining his love for music, travel and adventure, Darnel Parkinson has performed on ships throughout Europe, the Middle-East and even the Caribbean. Now, Darnel has realised it’s the right time to release his new chilled-out bop, Post Tropical.

This really has a vibe all of its’ own. We can really see this being played around a campfire on a chilly evening, or with a drink or two in the back garden on a summers evening. When asked about lyric inspiration, Darnel says:

“its inspiration comes from the times my girlfriend and I would chill in my room together, listening to one of our favourite albums on my record player ‘Post Tropical’ by James Vincent McMorrow. It’s in my song that I captured these moments and other moments in our life together that have led us to where we are today”.

If you’re looking for a new tune to lose yourself in, we highly suggest Post Tropical.  Sometimes, the best bangers come from a simple thought or memory, and this is exactly what’s happened for Darnel Parkinson.

You really don’t want to miss any updated from Darnel, be sure to follow his Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
