Gabby Wilson Releases Bittersweet Pop Debut ‘Hug It Out’

Gabby Wilson is for sure one to watch out for. The Swedish singer-songwriter has released her debut single “Hug It Out”. You can now stream the song on Spotify.

Ever since Gabby Wilson was a child, she has had a passion for writing her own songs using an array of interesting words and phrases to describe her own experiences. Her hard work paid off after being scouted and whisked away to Sweden, to follow her dreams of not only singing and writing music, but also as a producer and entrepreneur.

Gabby Wilson has vision, and there’s no mistaking that in her new single. You know the phrase ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’? Well Hug It Out is the proof that 3 minutes of a song can also paint a thousand images.

So, what can you expect from the new release? Gabby certainly has her own sound and she’s not afraid to let us hear it. This absolute dreamy tune will suit any mood. There’s some really catchy points throughout – for example the slight whistle in the bridge, and the backing of the chorus. A continuous build up from start to finish keeps the song unpredictable and leaves you wanting more.

When asked about her experiences and inspiration for the song, Gabby advised that the idea came from a relationship break-down she had experienced. “Trust started to lack, communication started to get shorter and shorter, with the pressure of taking the relationship to the next level rather than enjoying the here and now. We were missing a sense of fun and playfulness. It felt like the only time my boyfriend and I didn’t fight was when we were sleeping. That was the time when we could hold each other and feel close. It’s impossible to get to that vulnerable place in your everyday life.” We can certainly hear the desperation and emotion in the song, it portrays the situation perfectly.

This is just the beginning for Gabby, as “Hug It Out” marks the first single from her impending EP. You really don’t want to miss this, check out her Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates.
